Interactive Light Studio
The interactive projector installation I designed, programmed and installed at a public school for my senior design project at Cooper Union.
Interactive Light Studio
Cooper Union FSAE
I did the frame welding, power distribution electronics, dash, seats, bodywork, pneumatic shifter system and a million other odd jobs and designs on the 2012 FSAE car. I spent three years of my life on building FSAE cars and it was so all-consuming I never really documented what I did. Here are some of my pictures and old blog posts about the car.

PCA Stock Trading Algorithm
After reading about how Principal Component Analysis was used to form stock indices, I wanted to try it myself so I wrote an algorithm in Matlab and tested it on historical data.

Open Source Mechanical Tester
A summer research project I built with a friend for biomedical researchers performing stress-strain tests on tissue samples.

Project Daft Punk
model134view.jpgA replica of the LED lit helmet worn by Daft Punk I started building. I got as far as slush casting the plastic shell from a CNC mold and I designed and built the electronics but I hit a wall and never finished.

Interactive LEDs
installationsmall.jpg I installed color changing light bars in my living room and as a vibrations class project my group designed active RC filters to add sound interactive color changes.

DangerBox
A laser cut enclosure I designed to protect my SLR camera. I then took a bike ride across NYC and made a stop-motion video of the journey.

How to Make Machinable Wax
daftpunk07.jpg Making your own machinable wax is a lot cheaper than buying it and you can make custom sizes. I couldn't find a definitive guide on how to do it so I wrote one.

Python DAQ Programming
A write up of the presentation Calvin Ball and I gave at the Open Source Hardware Summit on how to control NI equipment with open-source libraries.
